The idea for this album came about while Eddie was in my Studio (Thunder Recording Studio) back in August 2008 recording his Gospel and Christmas CDs. Diane Bailey dropped by to visit and we started talking about them recording a CD together. Diane and I had already talked about this a few weeks earlier and now it was time to talk to Eddie.

Although they had worked together for several years at the Eddie Miles Theater in Sunset Beach, SC, they had never recorded an album together. They decided to go ahead real fast and record two songs as DEMOS and the two songs sounded so good it was immediately decided to record this album and they went into te studio a couple of months later and as they say the rest is history. The first idea that came to me for the title of the album was "We Duet Better" but it was later decided to call it "Just You and I".
